Gordy Johnson is recognized as one of the world’s most talented and experienced announcers.

It didn’t take him long to progress from humble beginnings as a junior ski racer at Mammoth to being a top-ranked competitor, instructor, coach, and National Demo Team member. After nearly 4,000 ski days, though, he discovered snowboarding, and that was that. He was born to ride—Gordy took to snowboarding with a renewed passion, qualifying for both the USSA and USASA nationals in one season. This proved to be a crossroad, as ESPN offered Gordy a job as a co-host for coverage of the Nationals, leading to a fifteen-year tour of major snowboarding, surf, ski, and mountain bike competitions all around the world.

All of this experience in front of the camera and microphone has led Gordy to work behind the scenes as a writer, director and producer of many top action sports events and productions. This has lit a fire in Gordy to produce content that inspires others to get involved in saving planet earth!

Besides snowboarding, Gordy is an active participant in surfing, paddling, and mountain biking, which explains his lifelong mission statement:

“Do what you love, and love what you do.”
