Gordy has extensive experience making events exceed expectations. Great events will make your sport, resort, or brand look great.

With over twenty years of production experience, Gordy has worked on both sides of the camera in roles including: Host, analyst, commentator, PA, location scout and craft service. More recently he has worked as field producer, stage manager and venue producer. Most importantly, he is a team player and brings a can do attitude from sunrise to sunset.

As the Tower Director at the NBC Gravity Games, Gordy ran all aspects of the live event and coordinated the interface between live-event production and television production, and has also coordinated sound, announcing, music, big-screen, and competition staffs while directing live events for other NBC Sports events.

He was the Venue Producer for the 2002 pre-Olympic alpine events in Park City, Utah, and has produced and directed live shows for World Cup events at Park City, as well. Mr. Johnson was responsible for all phases of production, including writing scripts, directing talent and DJs, and coordinating and integrating the live show to correspond with the NBC Sports broadcast. Other duties included interfacing with sound, big-screen, and race crews to create a seamless competition.

As the Stage Manager for the 2006 US Open of Surfing, Gordy served as the eyes and ears of the Director in the production truck, including acting as a Field Producer for taped segments, live on-air broadcasts, athlete interviews, and camera direction. Mr. Johnson was also a Field Producer at the 2007 US Open of Surfing, as well, focusing on the Soul Bowl events that featured BMX and skateboard finals, as well as highlight packages on freestyle MX and lifestyle pieces. At the same event, he directed a three-camera live show and a streaming webcast, and was also responsible for all athlete features and interviews, as well as talent opens, segues, and wrap-ups.
