But that was not enough—he then made his first comeback in snowboarding, standing on the podium at the National Snowboarding championships. Then he began to add broadcasting and announcing to his hectic schedule, serving as both a host and expert analyst on many nationally-broadcast television networks, including ESPN, NBC, Fox, and Versus. At the same time, Gordy was in demand as a leading live action-sports announcer.  Podium at 2005 US Open Career highlights included announcing World Championships in three different sports, being an MC at many ESPN X Games events (including during Tony Hawk’s 900), a host announcer at the 2002 Winter Olympics during the American halfpipe sweep, and most recently entertaining the crowd and sponsors in the festival village on the Dew Action Sports Tour and National mountain biking events. Gordy brings a passion for life and a positive energy that the audience can feel, because it is 100% authentic! He continues to work both as an announcer and as voiceover artist/narrator On the lighter side, the humorous side of Gordy is often revealed as he lives vicariously through his friends who also happen to be legends of lifestyle sports.
