2008 National Mountain Bike Series heads to Park City, Utah - for the Deer Valley National.

The United States Olympic Mountain Bike team qualification process is heating up this weekend in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah. OK, the NMBS is not the World cup, but it will show who is fit going into the next World Cup Races and hopefully the make the Olympic team.

Count on Georgia Gould to grab more points toward the National title, Georgia suffered heat stroke while leading the field at the Santa Ynez National and slipped back to 6th. in the series behind teammates Katerina Nash, and Heather Irmiger (Luna Woman's MTB Team). Don't count out Kelli Emmett or Lea Davison who both sit in the top 5 standings. In the Mens XC it will be another international field racing for the finish line. I predict a race to the line between team USA and Canada's Olympic contenders.

Canada's Geoff Kabush has been ruling the mens pro field on the NMBS, he is ahead in the points race, followed by Barry Wicks and Jeremy Horgan-Kobelski.
